NOVEMBER NEWS LETTER

Scyler brought the meeting to order at 8:00 pm,  Dave K. reported a balance of $3.182.00 in the account.

Congratulations to all the Snow Bowl Fishermen.  We all had a great time, even though we didn't bring the trophy home.  The team took 3rd place and got the entry fee back plus $80.00.

The Year End banquet will be December 2, 2001.  Cocktails will start at 6:00 and dinner at 7:00.  It will be $15.00 per person plus drinks.  The planned menu will be Prim Rib, Fried Shrimp, and other trimmings.  We will have a raffle, so if you have any items please bring them.

The Federation banquet will be January 19, 2002 at Caldwell Elks Club.  Cocktails will be 6:00 to 7:00 and dinner at 7:00 to 8:30.  The planned menu will be Baron of Roast Beef and other trimmings.  Advanced tickets will be $15.00 per person and $20.00 at the door.  If anyone would like tickets get a hold of Scyler at 324-1346 (H) or 324-3333 (w).  We both would like to encourage people to go and meet our fellow fishermen and have a lot of fun.

There is a new web site at www.bassfans.com.  This website follows the various professional tournaments trails and has news about tournaments and the pros.

Any tournament held in Oregon next year will need to have permits.  If the tournament is under 24 boats, only a permit from the county sheriff will be required.   But if over 24 boats, a permit from Fish & Game and the marine board are still required.

Nominations for next years Federations Officers are:

It will be voted on November 15, 2001.

C.A.S.T. is going very well.  Scyler & I are going to Black Foot to visit the Snake River Valley Bass Club to ask for their help.  We will report back at the next meeting.  Laura Bell from Bureau of Reclamation is trying to get the Elks Club to do the luncheon.  For the tackle boxes, Brad Perkins has offered to get the supplies that are needed .  Each child will be getting a fishing rod, tackle boxes and a C.A.S.T. T-shirt to use and keep.  It may be  limited to 40 kids defending on boat number.  Each boat will get a child & a care taker if needed, and a radio.  We will be needing people on shore to help with the launching of the boats and parking.  The Bass trailer will be going to Jeff's to get the C.A.S.T. logo put on.

New amendment for the by-laws is that if any person that lets their membership dues lap for 1 year, will have to be re-voted in to the club.

We have a new voted in member to the club, is name is Max Hornbrook.  Welcome to the club Max we look forward fishing with you.

Officers for 2002 were voted on at the meeting and the winners were:

Dave K. is accepting membership dues for 2002, in an effort to get our roster into B.A.S.S., the membership due is $35.00.

We selected the tournaments dates for 2002 and they are:

March 16-17, 2002 at Brownlee/Woodhead
            We are sharing a permit with Mini-Cassia Bassers and plan a B.B.Q.

April 20, 2002 at C.J. Strike

May 18, 2002 at Milner
           MEMORIAL OPEN

June 1 & 2, 2002 at American Falls
            The second day of fishing will be a draw tournament
            We will be having a B.B.Q.

July 27, 2002 at Lake Walcott
            This is our C.A.S.T.

August 3, 2002 at Milner
            AND
August 25, 2002 at Milner
            This is Mini-Cassia Co-Ed and we have been invited to join them

September 21, 2002 at C.J. Strike
            We will be having a B.B.Q. the night before at the Idaho Power Park below the dam
