Magic Valley Bass Masters
May 2010
News Letter
Scyler opened the meeting at 7:00 at
Idaho Joes.
He went over the Federation meeting
minutes from April. The TIBF Youth Championship moved from
Brownlee/Woodhead to Brownlee/Spring Rec. on June 19, 2010. They have only
received 2 entry forms, they are needing more. If you are going to be a
boat volunteer you will receive $50.00 for your expense. If anyone is
needing information contact John Lancaster. Scyler has the Solar Bat
sunglass sample kit, they are being sold for $16.00. We will need to
have a dozen pair to place an order. We will have the sample kit with us
at the OPEN if anyone is interested in them. We have a few orders, so
hopefully we will be getting some more. Scyler will be getting
more information for those that are wanting to have a prescription
eyewear. The 2010 Federation Banquet is scheduled, it will be at the
Hilton Garden Inn at Boise.
Thank you to everyone for a fantastic
Brownlee tournament and BBQ. It was great to have all the help setting up,
cooking, all the great food and with clean up. We would like to thank Tom
& Heather for donating the hamburger and Tom for donating the brats. Thank
you to H-Vac and Gold Key Auto for sponsoring this tournament. And a
thank you to Kurt and Kevin for pulling the trailer. We had 22
boats total with both clubs and 20 of the boats played our
club. The fishing was a little harder for some than others, but I
think everyone had a good time; at least the weather was on our side. The
winners were:
1st place Kerry & Tom
26.69#'s
2nd place John & Butch
19.31#'s
3rd place Mark & Brandon
16.19#'s
4th place Scyler & Jeanne
15.32#'s
I hope everyone is ready for the OPEN,
ready or not it is this weekend. I mailed out the entry forms
for the last 2 years of entries. As of Saturday, I have only received
12 entry forms. Please don't forget that the deadline is
WEDNESDAY, MAY 12th, after that date, the
LATE FEE will be enforced. If anyone
needs to contact Scyler, you can call his cell phone 539-1346, he isn't
able to answer during work hours, but leave him a message and he will return
your call. And you may also drop off your money and entry form
at his work (Twin Falls Truck) or mine (Green Acres Pet Center). Jay
at the River Side will be doing the Hog Feed again and have a bar set
up on the lawn. The price to eat will be $8.00 per plate. Scyler
will be at River Side about 1:00 on Friday to start setting up. If anyone
is available, he would appreciate the help. The people that we have down
to help with the tournament is: Dale & Shawn will be doing the chalk
lines; Dale, Shawn, Vern and Steve will be doing the live well checks;
Scyler, Butch and Dale T. will be doing the parking lot. Kevin will be
getting the lights and Shane, Butch and Pat will be doing the weigh in. If
you see anyone needing help, please jump in and help. I know everyone
would appreciate all the help we can get, especially at the end of the
tournament with getting everything cleaned up and put away. We will go and
get the release boat Sunday and have it down there on Friday. The drawing
and meeting will be Friday night at 7:30, if you are not able to be at the
meeting, we will have your banner and permit down by the launch point on a
table.
If you got the back of your Snow Bowl
jacket done we have not received all the payments.
Scyler closed the meeting at

Hope to see everyone at
