Magic Valley Bass Master
March 2011
News Letter
Scyler brought the meeting to order and
gave account balance.
Monte Bruhn was our guest speaker, he
wanted to ask the club if they would help with the "Doug Bridges Memorial Hunts"
with a fishing day. The foundation is Take a "Wounded Warrior" on your
next outdoor adventure. Monte started this memorial in honor of his
friends son Doug that had been killed in the line of duty. He is wanted to
give back to those that have served our country. Scyler is checking on
insurance policy. The club was excited to help out and we would
possible to do a tournament sometime in September. More information
will follow as the event gets closer.
Federation News: The federation is
putting together an "Ultimate Angler" tournament. You must fish either 4
qualifier tournament or 4 Open tournaments. The cost would be $50.00 to
enter in addition to what ever tournament you are fishing; total pay in will be
$200.00 to compete in the tournament. They would collect the name and
money from each person at that event. The State Team would profit a small
amount and the rest would be paid out to the "Ultimate Anglers". The
tournament will be held in September at C.J. Strike.
The TBF Banquet at
the Garden Inn this year in Twin Falls. The cost would be around $45.00
per person and that would include a few raffle tickets. Hopefully they
will have a good turnout from around this area.
More information still to
come.
A big Thank You goes out to everyone
that came out to the Dave Withers Big Bass Derby. The club received
$605.00 dollars in donation. The weather was good for us and everyone
seemed to have a good time fishing and at the bbq. Thank you for those who
brought an item.
The club sent flowers to Denton Crofts,
he is recovering from surgery. He had to have surgery to remove his colon
due to an abscess and prior surgeries. We wish him a speedy recovery so we
are able to see him on the water again.
Congradulations goes out to Pat &
Ron, they are the "Magic Valley Resivor Ice Fishing Champions". They took
home $270.00 dollars for catching slim rockets. Good job
guys...
Our first tournament will be this
Saturday at C.J. Strike, don't forget to bring your insurance papers for this
year. No paper no fishing!! Thank you to Ron Haffner
for volunteering to pulling the trailer to C.J. Strike and
Brownlee.
The club voted and passed Chris
Tucker back into the club.
See everyone Saturday.
