The Idaho Bass Federation 2008 Annual Banquet will be held November 8, 2008 at T Box Restaurant; Jerome Country Club.  The no host social hour will be at 5:30 and the dinner at 6:30.  You may purchase a $25.00 banquet ticket from any officer or at the door.  They are also asking for the dues to be paid by December 31, 2008.  They receive money back from national, the Conservation and Youth funds each receive $1.00.  For the 2008 year we received $288.00 total.
    If you have any new fishing hats that you will not be using, Gary would like to collect as many as he can to hand out at the Youth tournaments.
    The Ranger boat is ready to be purchased at Western Marine, for more information contact Gary Keith.
    Troy Limmer is the new national director, he has grant application experience and has started researching applicable grants for the federation and clubs.  Karen Keith has more details if you need some.
    The federation voted on to continue the state web site.  Steve believes that the cost is $299.00 for 5 years.
    Nominations for state federation officers are:  Pres. Gary Keith & Bruce Flesher..Vice Pres. Cliff Lockhart & Don Boeger..Sec./Tres..Karen Keith & Tami Shuyler.
      The turnout for Massacre Rocks Tournament was down but the weights that were brought in was good.  The bbq at Massacre and Owyhee went very well, chicken for one and ribs for the other, thanks to everyone that made it great. 
    Brad had his 2nd Annual Dry Creek Tournament, the turnout was fantastic and also was the weather.   A big thank you goes out to Brad for holding another great event, and even bigger and better one next year (if that is possible).
    The club is talking about moving the C.A.S.T. to a State Hatchery if we can get some fish donated.  We will get more information on this possible event throughout the year.
    Steve P. is getting more information on the possible ice fishing event at Bass Lakes later this year, he will keep us updated when he gets more information.
    The end of the year standings for 2008 are: (1) 140 points Steve V. (2) 127 points Vern R. (3) 116 points Ron H. (4) 112 points Pat C. and (5) 110 points Ron S. Congratulations to Steve V. for receiving angler of the year.  The end of the year team standings for 2008 are: (1) 267 points Vern & Steve (2) 228 points Pat & Ron (3) 219 points Ron & Scyler (4) 214 Steve & Kevin and (5) 196 Victor & Bro.
    The Snow Bowl will be held November 1st at C.J. Strike.  Good luck to all the anglers that are representing our club; Vern R., Steve V., Pat C. , Ron H., Scyler, Butch, Steve P., Kevin O., Shawn C. & Dale J.  Bring home the trophy!!!!!!
    The federation scheduling meeting will be November 6th and our scheduling meeting will be November 7th.  We are wanting to have our Open on May 16th.  It was also brought up to have Sunday tournaments in midsummer (June & July) to help out our fellow anglers that have other events (family related) on Friday & Saturdays. 
    The nominations for 2009 officers are: Pres. Scyler, Vice Pres. Vern, Sec./Tres. Jeanne, Tournament Directors: Ron H., Pat C., Dale T., Steve P., Kevin O., Butch N. (you will be voting for only 4), P.R. Dale T. & Nate C.  We will be voting at our next meeting (Nov. 7th). If you have someone in mind that was not nominated, there will be a write in space.
    Our end of the year banquet will be on December 7th at T Box Restaurant.  The price this year will be $25.00 per person.  Let Scyler know if you are able to attending this year so he can get a head count for the restaurant by November 28.
    I am taking dues for 2009, they are $40.00 if MVBM is your main club or $17.00 if you belong to another club and pay your TBF dues through them.
    Don't forget that out next meeting will be November 7th, that is a Friday.  It still will be at Idaho Joe's and starting at 7:00.  So if you want any say so in the 2009 fishing places and dates, you better plan on being present!!!!!
