February News Letter

Scyler brought the meeting to order at 8:05,  and went over last months news letter.  Dave K. reported $3,503.30...

Scyler went to the Get Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs at Karcher Mall in Caldwell on February 1 & 2, they had about 500 kids on Saturday & about 300 kids on Sunday.  Scyler would like to thank Lance, Kerry, Lou & Dale for coming and helping out.  It was nice to see a few members participate.

Darrin Brown came in and talked about boat safety.  The most common violations are:  not having a fire extinguisher, sound producing devices, registering you boat, load capacity and safety  lights.  If you didn't know, youth life jacket requirements are children 14 years of age and younger, on board boats19 feet or less, must wear an approved life jacket when the boat is underway.  And when passing, you use 1 blow of the horn for the  left side and 2 blows for the right side.

The club would like to welcome 4 new members to our club, they are:
Jordan Davis from Ketchum, Kevin Lincoln & Garth Nelson both from Hailey and Bradley Bremers from Buhl.

Dave Withers is back at MVRMC room 230, if you would like to go and see him.  We all have Dave in our prayers and thoughts.  Their will be a benefit tournament at Bell Rapids, lower Salmon Dam on February 23, 2003, from 9:00 to 3:00.  This will be a paper tournament with an honor system for the big fish plaque.  The cost will be either $20.00 or $25.00 per person.  And also we will have a bbq after weigh in.  Hope to see everyone at this tournament.

And on a last note:  A reminder from Brad, all club anglers with VIP cards will get LUCKY CRAFT lures for $13.95.  These prices are all day, everyday!  Fresh stock arrived February 4, 2003.  Don't forget the March 1st sale, During this sale you can buy 3 lucky crafts and get 1 free.
